His research interests mainly revolve around global issues, including geopolitics, religious tourism and pilgrimage, religion and politics, comparative political economy, and pedagogy in political science. He has published in several journals, including Academy of International Business (AIB) Insights, Politics & Religion, the International Journal of Religious Tourism and Pilgrimage, and numerous book chapters.Polyxeni Moira (Edited By) Polyxeni Moira holds a PhD in Sociology from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Greece. She has BA degrees in a) Public Administration, b) International and European Studies and c) Communication and Mass Media. She also holds an MSc in Regional Development, Pedagogy and Administrative Law. She has been teaching at higher education over the last 20 years. She is currently Professor at the Department of Tourism Management at University of West Attica in Greece. She is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Aegean, at Harokopion University and the Hellenic Open University. She has published 20 scientific books in the field of tourism and articles in over 20 international and Greek journals.
