Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

1. Purpose and commitment

BUKU B.V. is committed to preventing all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced
labor, and child labor within its operations and supply chain. This policy reaffirms our
commitment to ethical business practices in line with Dutch law, international human rights
standards, and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All employees, freelancers, and interns
  • All contractual parties, suppliers, and business partners
  • All national and international operations of BUKU B.V.

3. Definitions

Modern slavery includes:

  • Human trafficking
  • Forced or compulsory labor
  • Debt bondage
  • Child labor in violation of ILO conventions

4. Our Actions

BUKU B.V. undertakes the following measures:

  • Ethical screening of suppliers and partners, with attention to labor standards
  • Confidential reporting procedures for concerns related to human rights violations
  • Avoidance of business with non-compliant parties
  • This policy applies automatically to all contracts, partnerships, and assignments with BUKU B.V. Any involvement in or failure to act against modern slavery or human trafficking is strictly prohibited. In the event that such practices are identified, BUKU B.V. reserves the right to immediately terminate the collaboration without further obligation

5. Responsibilities

  • The Board of Directors holds final accountability
  • Managers monitor risks in their area of control
  • Every team member has a responsibility to uphold this policy

7. Review

This policy is reviewed annually and updated where necessary.
